The Haute École de la Province de Liège organized an event for the 10th anniversary of its Master's in Public Management, discussing current and future challenges for the public service.

Marek Hudon, ordinary professor at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (ULB), analyzed the challenges of public service during the academic year opening. He emphasized the importance of understanding and loving this sector to manage it effectively. Three areas for improvement were highlighted: rethinking the link between public service and politics, enhancing the Administration's brand image, and strengthening interactions between the public and private sectors. "Public service is imperfect, but in a world full of uncertainties, we desperately need it," he stated.
This event was part of the 10th anniversary of the Master's in Public Management at HEPL, a program experiencing growth despite a complex societal context. Pierre Amadini, the Master's coordinator, noted that the program's uniqueness lies in its transversal and multidisciplinary nature.
Annick Lapierre, Director-President of HEPL, stressed that students are at the center of their considerations, with a dynamic of continuous adaptation to the profession's needs. Antonio Spitali, president of the student council, confirmed this, also highlighting the deeply human aspect of public service, describing it as "a benchmark and a factor of stability in a constantly changing world."
The discussion also involved Sébastien Consentino, assistant professor at HEPL, Isabelle Medery, Director of the Provincial School of Administration, Raymonde Yerna, General Administrator of FOREM, as well as Pierre Amadini and Marek Hudon.
