The Municipality of Welkenraedt is inviting its citizens to give a second life to their good-condition toys this Saturday, October 10th. From 8:30 AM to 5 PM, a large collection will be held at all of the municipality's recycling centers.
The aim is to allow functional toys to bring joy to other children, while also making an environmentally friendly gesture. Toys must be in good condition: puzzles must be complete, and broken or damaged toys will not be accepted.
For environmental and hygiene reasons, toys that run on batteries and plush toys will not be collected during this event.
This initiative is organized in collaboration with local CPAS (Public Social Welfare Centers) and local associations, who will be responsible for redistributing the collected toys to other children in the region.
