Following construction that began in January 2025, the work on Hannut's new Town Hall is complete. Staff from the City, CPAS, and RCA will occupy the building and receive citizens from Thursday, November 19, 2026.
The relocation of various services is scheduled from Monday, November 16, to Wednesday, November 18, 2026. During these three days, service operations will be disrupted, and all services will be exceptionally closed on Wednesday, November 18. From Thursday, November 19, all services will resume welcoming citizens in the new Town Hall premises.
Citizens are advised to anticipate their administrative procedures. As a reminder, the City of Hannut offers the eGuichet (https://hannut.e-guichet.be/) for most documents and the BelDrive platform (https://beldrive.mobilit.fgov.be/) for driving licenses.
Reception will be centralized at a single point for the City and the CPAS, with an arrival terminal for appointments. Staff will remain available for human assistance. A confidential space will also be dedicated to the CPAS.
This consolidation aims to simplify procedures, improve public service operations, and reduce energy consumption. The project received a European subsidy of €1,935,000.
An open house event is scheduled for Sunday, November 15, 2026, before the services are operational. Guided tours in small groups (maximum 10 people) will be offered between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Advance registration is mandatory via the online form: https://www.eventbrite.be/e/billets-portes-ouvertes-nouvelle-administration-communale-2002932391701.
