Schools, police services, bailiffs, and the Prevention Service are actively collaborating in Huy to prevent school dropout and support young people facing difficulties. During school hours, law enforcement can verify the school status of young people encountered in public spaces. In cases of unauthorized presence, contact is made with the school to facilitate the student's return and ensure follow-up with their family.
Bailiffs play an essential proximity role. They inform young people about the risks associated with absenteeism and encourage them to return to school. This initiative aims to raise awareness and build trust.
The Prevention Service offers individual support when the situation requires it. The objectives are multifaceted: to understand the underlying reasons for absenteeism, identify the difficulties encountered by the young person and their circle, and jointly seek appropriate solutions.
The approach is based on prevention, dialogue, and support. It is through collective action that the fight against school dropout can be effectively waged, allowing each young person to find their place within their educational institution.
Prevent, dialogue, and support: it is together that we can effectively fight against school dropout and help every young person find their place within their institution.
