This Wednesday, October 14th, the young councillors of Huy's Consultative Children's Council (CCCE) for the 2026-2027 term were officially installed at the Town Hall.

The installation ceremony for the Consultative Children's Council (CCCE) 2026-2027 took place this Wednesday, October 14th, at the Huy Town Hall. During the event, the young elected members received their councillor sashes from municipal authorities.
The CCCE aims to enable children in Huy to express themselves, debate, and develop concrete projects for their municipality. This initiative, coordinated by the Centre Infor Jeunes de Huy in collaboration with AMO Mille lieux de vie, brings together 6th-grade primary school students from various schools in the area.
The young councillors will meet monthly from October 2026 to June 2027 to discuss topics relevant to them, formulate proposals, and track the progress of their projects. The youth alderman's office is regularly informed of the themes addressed.
During the previous term (2025-2026), the CCCE proposed two projects to the municipal authorities: a meeting day for all 6th-grade classes in the municipality to facilitate the transition to secondary school, and a historical memory project to highlight the liberation of resistance fighters from the Huy prison during the German occupation.
The young councillors for this term are: Ludivine (Athénée Royal de Huy), Léon (Ecole communale de Solières), Agathe (Ecole communale de Tihange), Andryono (Ecole Sainte-Marie de Gives), Rayan (École fondamentale Saint-Louis), François (École communale de Ben), Alix, Maëlys, and Noah (École communale des Bons-Enfants), Perankh (École fondamentale Saint-Quirin), Zaëlle (École communale d'Outre-Meuse), and Rana (Ecole communale de Huy-Sud).
