The Commune of Marchin is implementing new parking arrangements from October 15, 2026, aimed at enhancing citizen access and safety near its buildings.

To optimize citizen reception and strengthen safety around municipal buildings, the Commune of Marchin is reorganizing parking near the Administration, the Belle-Maison school, and the Sports Hall. These new measures, effective from October 15, 2026, aim to improve traffic flow, secure convivial spaces, and restore the Espace Pierre Burton to its pedestrian zone function.
Specific changes include: in front of the Administration on Rue J. Wauters, parking will be limited to 30 minutes and strictly reserved for citizens and visitors with official business. The Espace Pierre Burton will become entirely pedestrian, with a total parking ban 24/7.
To accommodate these changes, several nearby parking alternatives have been developed. Around the Place de Belle-Maison, 63 standard spaces and 6 disabled spaces (PMR) are available on all four sides of the square, with various configurations. Caution is advised on Thursday afternoons due to the weekly market.
The Chemin de Sandron Parking offers 14 standard spaces, plus an additional 6 spaces next to the modules. This area is ideal for staff during the day and Sports Hall users in the evening.
