The communal school in Villers-le-Bouillet now benefits from two fully renovated buildings, marking the end of energy renovation work that began in April 2025.

Students at the communal school, Villers-le-Bouillet campus, have returned to their premises after significant energy renovation work. These renovations, carried out since April 2025 on the main building and refectory, are now complete. The establishment thus has two newly insulated buildings, including walls, roof, and modified window frames. The exterior cladding and roof covering have also been rehabilitated.
The main building and refectory are equipped with new-generation lighting, offering improved energy efficiency and brightness. Furthermore, the building housing most of the classrooms, as well as the secretariat and management offices, features a new ventilation system. These improvements aim to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
The estimated cost of this project was €1,961,116.89 incl. VAT at the time of awarding the public contract. The works were subsidized by €734,004 by the Walloon Region through UREBA grants and were also made possible thanks to sponsorship from ENGIE-Eletrabel.
This construction project, spanning over one school year, required adjustments to class organization. The management, teachers, and students adapted successfully to ensure the smooth progression of the work.
