The Haute École de la Province de Liège (HEPL) has established a new special status to assist students experiencing financial difficulties, particularly those whose grant applications to the Direction des Allocations d’Études (DAE) have been refused.

This initiative aims to provide additional support to students who, while not fully meeting the conditions set by the DAE, are facing financial challenges.
To qualify for the HEPL Student special status, applicants must have received a refusal from the DAE and have an income exceeding the threshold for intermediate status by less than €4,000, while still meeting other required criteria.
Obtaining this status may grant access to assistance with paying registration fees, as well as additional material and financial aid offered by the HEPL Social Service.
The Social Service team is available to guide students through the application process and assess their individual situations.
