From October 1 to December 31, 2026, the Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (AFCN) and its partners, including SAMI Liège, are launching Radon Action 2026 to measure the presence of this gas in homes.

Radon, a natural, odorless, and invisible radioactive gas, can accumulate in poorly ventilated homes through cracks and pipe passages. Prolonged exposure increases the risk of lung cancer, especially for smokers.
To assess radon concentration in your home, simply install a detector in a living area for three months. The analyzed results will determine if adapted solutions are needed to reduce your exposure.
To participate in this campaign and order your detector, visit www.actionradon.be. Participation details are available there.
