The Communal Council of Trooz adopted several major decisions at its recent meeting, focusing on investments, childcare, and heritage renovation.

The Communal Council approved the creation of the Régie communale autonome (Autonomous Communal Agency). This financial tool will enable the municipality to undertake significant investments, such as the construction of the new communal administration building, the future sports hall, and the renovation of the FC Trooz infrastructure. The agency will also manage the future sports center to obtain official recognition from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.
Addressing the demand for childcare places, two nursery projects were validated: the creation of a 14-place nursery on rue de Verviers as part of the Plan Cigogne, and the submission of a project for an 8-place mini-nursery at the El No school in Fraipont. In total, 22 additional places could be created.
An agreement with the Diocese and church fabric committees was presented, outlining renovation priorities. The Saint-Gilles church in Fraipont will become the main place of worship, while the Sainte-Thérèse church in La Brouck will be transformed into a shared space for cultural activities and worship. Discussions are also underway regarding the deconsecration of the church and presbytery in Prayon, and the transfer of the Saint-Alfred and Saint-Georges chapel in Trooz to the municipality.
Several works and improvements were approved: a speed limit of 50 km/h between rue Voutenay and rue de Liège, the launch of the tender for rue Fica, the commune taking over the maintenance of the Heid Mawet road, and the installation of a supplementary heating system at the Nessonvaux school.
Adaptations to police regulations were voted on to combat environmental and road incivilities, along with a new regulation to protect biodiversity. The year-end budget modification was unanimously adopted.
