Applications must be submitted through the CPAS of the municipality.
Since October 1, 2026, the new Global Renovation Support scheme (Rénopack/Rénoprêt) targets housing with the poorest energy performance. The aim is to reach at least label D or C. This scheme, managed by the Société Wallonne du Crédit Social and the Fonds du Logement de Wallonie, offers a preferential or zero-interest loan, with a possible reduction in the repayment amount. Pre-registration is possible.
A tax advantage is also available for insulating the roof or attic floor. This is a tax reduction of 30% of actual expenses (including VAT), capped at €4,020 for the 2026 tax year and €4,120 for 2027. However, the Walloon Government has reportedly decided to discontinue this tax reduction for investments made in 2027. Details are on the Belgian federal finance website.
