A crisis management exercise is underway this Friday, October 2nd, in Hannut, on Rue de Landen. The exercise will take place throughout the morning.
Following a first exercise organized this week in Verlaine, it is now Hannut's turn for teams to mobilize to test their procedures and coordination in emergency situations.
This exercise is organized in collaboration with the Hesbaye-Ouest Police Zone, the City of Hannut, the Cellule PlanU Hesbaye, the Civil Protection, RESA, Fluxys, and the Hesbaye Rescue Zone.
Its preparation required several months of work and the mobilization of numerous stakeholders to test, under exercise conditions, the coordination between different responders and the established procedures.
An unusual presence of vehicles and personnel from emergency and security services can be observed around the exercise zone.
The speed is temporarily limited to 30 km/h. Visitors are advised to respect this limit and exercise caution in the area.
It is emphasized that this is a planned exercise and no real emergency situation is occurring. Please do not call 112.
'Today, we train to better protect tomorrow,' the announcement states.
