During the 2025-2026 school year, the ten young councilors worked on children's rights, focusing particularly on the right to rest and leisure. Their discussions led them to question sleep quality and the place of screens in children's daily lives. They thus chose to design a fun awareness tool for their peers.
With the support of the Local Health Promotion Center (CLPS) of Huy-Waremme, the Cultural Center of Saint-Georges, and Mrs. Gustin, the young people participated in all stages of the creation of "Mission Valtoria". They developed the rules, designed the game board, imagined the pawns, and prepared the questions and challenges. This work required bi-monthly meetings and several additional Wednesday afternoons, continuing until the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.
Beyond creating the game, this project allowed them to transform their reflection into a concrete achievement, intended to raise awareness among other children on issues that directly concern them.
The game "Mission Valtoria" will be made available in the two schools of the entity of Saint-Georges-sur-Meuse, at the Cultural Center, at the CLPS of Huy-Waremme, at the library of Saint-Georges, at the École de Devoirs, and at the extracurricular reception service La Galipette. This initiative highlights the involvement of the young municipal councilors in the realization of a concrete project.
