Voie de Liège Works: Sidewalk and Parking Development Begins

The significant construction project on the Voie de Liège is advancing with a new stage focused on developing sidewalks and parking zones. The overall objective is to modernize this road axis, enhance pedestrian circulation, and optimize parking arrangements.

To minimize disruption for residents and maintain parking access near homes, the initial plan has been adapted. The first phase, running from mid-September to mid-October 2026, covers the even-numbered side of the road, between numbers 104 and 150. Once these developments are complete, work will move to the opposite side.

The second phase, scheduled from mid-October to mid-December 2026, will focus on the odd-numbered side, encompassing properties from No. 57 to No. 127. This phased approach aims to preserve parking on the side not under construction as much as possible and reduce the daily impact on inhabitants.

Beyond mere road resurfacing, the project includes creating more functional pedestrian spaces and better structuring parking spots. Businesses along the Voie de Liège remain accessible and will continue their operations throughout the construction period.

Waste collection will be maintained. The contractor will gather refuse at the ends of the work zones on usual collection days, ensuring removal by the relevant services. The Municipality acknowledges the inconveniences caused, particularly regarding traffic and parking, and is adapting the organization to mitigate them.

A final phase will take place at the intersection of Rue de Henne and Avenue du Centenaire. Specific details for this intervention will be communicated later. The Municipality thanks residents, businesses, and users in advance for their patience and understanding.
