The streets of Seraing transformed into an open-air theater this Sunday, October 4th, as nearly a thousand spectators gathered for the sixth edition of the Fieris Féeries. Costumes, collective creations, and artistic performances celebrated the city's history, savoir-faire, and future.
Guided by four emblematic figures (Fieri Industrial Genius, Fieri Meuse, Fieri Crystal, and Fieri Nature), this free parade offered delightful surprises. Special attention was given to the 200th anniversary of the Val Saint-Lambert Crystal Works, notably marked by an impressive birthday cake.
Approximately 700 people of all ages and backgrounds mobilized for several months for this spectacle. Accompanied by professionals, residents imagined and crafted the costumes, accessories, and sets that brought this collective adventure to life.
From the Polytechnic School to Kuborn Square, artists and participants led the public into a festive atmosphere, concluding with a tarantella performance by Italo Folies.
Organized by the Centre d’Action Laïque de la Province de Liège and the Cultural Center of Seraing, the Fieris Féeries once again highlighted the creativity of Seraing's residents and their attachment to their city. A new edition is expected in two years.
