A new series of events focused on preventing violence in environments frequented by children and youth will begin on October 6 in Kelmis.

To ensure children and adolescents feel safe where they learn, play sports, and spend their free time, schools and sports clubs play a crucial role. The question arises: how can we concretely create a violence-free environment, and what is the first step towards establishing a protection concept?
During an information evening, LOS Ostbelgien, with its project „Gamechanger“, and Kaleido Ostbelgien, with „Stark & Beschützt“, will present their support services for sports clubs and schools. The aim is to raise awareness, inform, and encourage participants to embark on this path.
Child protection is a shared responsibility and a collective stance, where every step counts. This opening event marks the beginning of a series of ten planned events on violence prevention around the 'Stofftierbaum' in Kelmis.
The event will take place on Tuesday, October 6, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Hundeklub Kelmis, located at Aachener Straße 33, 4728 Kelmis – Hergenrath.
Presentations will be given by Anne Brüll (LOS Ostbelgien) and Danielle Schöffers (Kaleido Ostbelgien). Registration via zusammenleben@kelmis.be is appreciated but not mandatory.
